School's Out!

Ava finished Kindergarten last Wednesday.   The end of the school year is bittersweet.   Thinking about the summer ahead is frightening (how will I ever entertain her???) but then sad to see she is leaving Kindergarten and going into 1st grade!  She had a wonderful teacher and assistant teacher this year and Ava is already telling me she will miss her SO much!.

Field day was last Monday.  Ava was on the red team and she was awake at 5:30 a.m. Monday morning, ready to go.  She had an 8th grade buddy to team up with on all of the events which made it even more fun.  Ava was most excited about the 50 yard dash at the end of the morning where she raced against 8 of the other Kindergarden girls.  She ran fast!  Here she is stacking pizza boxes with her buddy.

And two other events I missed...but daddy was there to watch and photogragh!

Our first official day off of school was spent at the pool.  The water is freezing, but when there is a friend  to play with and water ice to eat, everyone is happy.
