Kindergarten Eve

So this is it.  Ava starts Kindergarten tomorrow.  She is really excited!  She packed her backpack this morning with all of her supplies and laid out her outfit before bed tonight.  The first 2 days of school are 1/2 days, which will be a nice transition, then we start full day on Thursday.  I'm SO excited for that :)  Anyhow, we will all ride in the car tomorrow morning for drop off.  I'm excited for her, nervous for her...it's just hard to drop her off at a new school, all alone.  But I know she will have a wonderful time!

The other REALLY big milestone this weekend was that today Ava learned to ride without her training wheels!  Daddy took her to the old middle school parking lot and after holding onto the bike and running along for about 30 steps, she was balancing on her own and he let go!  She came home and demonstrated her skills for me in the street.  She is still very cautious and nervous...but WOW...go Ava.  We are so proud of her!

Here is Cameron sleeping in his big boy bed.  Another milestone this past week!  Things are just moving along here! 

He talked Ed into letting him sleep in the big bed earlier this week, after they finished reading bedtime stories one night.  Of course Ed agreed!  My plan was different, Cam was going to stay in the crib until he was 5, or could climb out on his own.  But now there is no turning back and so far, so good.  He has even been napping in the bed without much of a fight.  We took our last crib down today. 

I'm ready to settle into the school routine now.  Hopefully we will have earlier bed times, earlier adult dinners, and earlier to bed for me too!
