Five!

Here is little Ava a few days old, in the NICU, born 6 1/2 weeks early!  Yikes! 

Somehow she has made it to 5!

On Saturday July 30th, her actual birthday, Ava and I went to the Farmer's Market to pick up a few things and she had a cream filled donut.  Her fav...just like me.  She has lots of Lancaster County blood in her :)

Then we spent the afternoon at the pool and invited one of her BFF's and their family along with us.  Cam has not been a fan of the pool this summer.  The pool has a wonderful 'waterpark' area that ANY kiddo between the ages of 1-7 would LOVE, but not him.  This is what he does...he sits in a chair at the table and snacks.

Ava had a great birthday party on Sunday at the house.  She always loves when her cousins and family come to visit.  She INSISTED that her birthday was actually on Sunday, not Saturday, because that was the day she was having her party.  I tried my hardest to explain it all but I finally gave up.  It didn't matter.  She also tried to invite anyone and everyone to her party on Sunday.  The babysitter, the neighbors, any friend she could remember from preschool, and her swimming teacher :)  Very sweet...just still trying to savor the 'family' party as long as we can.

This is a big year coming up.  Kindergarten...full day Kindergarten!!  Hopefully we can straighten out many of the puzzling and exhausting issues we have had with her over the last few months and make 5 wonderful.
