New Year's weekend was a blast!

Last year I said that we would not stay home between Christmas and New Year.  We would find somewhere to go...a hotel with a pool, the Poconos, SOMEWHERE.  Apparently I forgot all about it until this year.  And 2 days before New Year's we were going out of our minds in the house.  Ava had a few day camps at the gym, Dance Camp to be exact.  She loved it.  But there were still many more hours in the day to be in the house together!  As if our house was bugged by the neighbor, she called us on cue and invited us up to her Pocono house over New Year's Eve.

It was awesome.  The house is great, there is a finished basement, and the best part, 6 inches of snow on the ground!

The finished basement had a Wii with Mario Kart (or whatever it is called).  Cameron was ADDICTED!  One reason we do not have the Wii at home!
Ava and daddy spent NYE day snow tubing.  Cameron was too small to go so we hung with Mrs. S in the house, built a small snowman, and then went over to BB to watched Ava's last snow tubing run (video taped it).
After tubing we ate lunch then stopped over to visit my sister's college friend and family at their mountain house which was in the same neighborhood!  Two more hours of sledding...it was so much fun.  Sled train...
That night, NYE, the kids were literally asleep in less than 2 minutes after their heads hit the pillow.  Such a great 2 days.  We all love the mountains and I think a mountain house needs to be in our future!
