Ava's first time on skis

Ava learned how to ski!!  What a great weekend.

We went back to our neighbor's mountain house, along with her 3 grown children, who treat Ava and Cam like their own family.  Son Steven is a great skier and Ava adores him, so he asked Ed and I if he could take her over to the mountain, early, and show her the ropes.  He was completely confident she would love it.  And she did!

 We dropped them off at the mountain by 8:30 a.m., and when Ed and I met up with them an hour later she already had 5 runs in!  Here she is in one of her first runs alone, going straight down!  Steven caught her at the last minute.

Then she started to figure out how to turn and by late morning she was able to make it down, 'snowplowing', side to side.  We are so proud of her and SO happy to have another skier in the family!  The best part is she loves it and can not wait to go again!!
