Cam is 4!

Cameron turned 4 on December 2nd.  He still seems like such a little guy to me, definitely not 4!  He can barely keep up 3T pants, he swims in size 4 tops.  His little legs are the size of toothpicks...but he's so darn cute! 

His diet remains the same, daddy crackers (Triscuits) and cheese, Ritz crackers with peanut butter, and OJ.  He'll eat an occasional frozen yogurt stick, vanilla ice cream (of course!), and even 1/3 of a banana on a recent car trip (I think he was starving and that was all we had). 

We celebrated his birthday on Thanksgiving since the family was all together in Lancaster.  This was confusing for him, he assumed that day was his actual birthday and when we told him it was not he just would get upset and mad so we just stopped explaining.  Unfortunently Thanksgiving afternoon this happened...

He wanted me to hold him (before cake and presents!) and fell asleep.  This NEVER happens, and 30 minutes later he woke up and was burning hot.  He managed to blow out the candles on his construction cake, open a few presents, but that was it.  He was sick for the next 3 days.  It was rough because he refused to take medicine!  There is nothing worse then holding a kid down and forcing in the Tylenol only to have him spit it out.  So we gave up. 

Cameron had one more birthday celebration at school.  I was able to come in for part of the morning and deliver cupcakes...he was so excited to pass them out to his friends.  In Conrad fashion, he was a different boy with me in the class, clinging to me and acting awkward.  What is with that??!!  But I was reassured by his teacher he does not normally act like such a goof.

He still has lots of maturing to do :)  He is the young guy in his class, and right now is not the most confident boy if he's out of his comfort zone.  He's had 2 birthday party invites in the last 2 weeks.  Party #1 was not so good, daddy took him and I think they lasted about 15 minutes before a major meltdown followed by a quick departure.  Party #2 was better until he was asked to sit with friends for pizza and cake.  He then quietly melted down on the floor until the food portion of the party was over.  I'm not sure about Cam, but I'm done with birthday parties for the next several months.
