It's hard to believe that summer vacation is almost 1/2 over. Ava spent week 4 in art camp at a local college. She went to the camp with 2 other great friends from preschool. I would say she liked the camp, but not loved it. Day #2 she told me they did not have enough outdoor time. Surprisingly as much as she hates to be too hot, she needs her outdoor time. By the end of the week she was begging to go back to Little Buds camp. So...week 5 she went back to Little Buds for 3 days.
I will have to make notes for next summer that Ava really needs a very active camp, lots of outdoor time, and pool time if possible. We have been going to the pool after camp for an hour or so and that has been working out great. It gets the kids out of the house during their most grumpy time, we get back home after 6 with just enough time to eat dinner, bathe, and get to bed.
Lots of solo parenting lately, camps and the pool have really helped...plus a few great babysitters in the neighborhood have helped ME keep it together.
Ava's birthday party is this weekend. She could not be more excited..can't wait!
