Cameron loves 'rock and roll' music (as he calls it). When a new song comes on in the car he asks me, "is this a wild song?". If I say yes, he yells for me to crank it up! The other day Motley Crue's 'Girls, Girls, Girls' came on in the car and he kept telling me to crank it up MORE.
Driving home today from the store he asked me to turn up Foo Fighters (which will make his dad proud) and Aerosmith. Luckily, he still gets most of the chorus wrong if he tries to sign along, but with his memory it won't take long until he picks up on the words and then we will have to turn back to the Disney station or Kidz Bop. It's crazy how we can be in a store and he will hear the overhead music and recognize songs...6 months ago he recognized an AC/DC song and a Police song that came on the radio. I blame this all on hours of YouTube viewing of Hot Wheels, Trucks, and Trains...lots of homemade videos to music.
Taking after his father...just hope there is not a drum kit in our near future.
