We are almost at the end of July, time is flying. So far summer has been pretty easy. Ava has been busy with camps, dance lessons, gymnastics, therapy, and pool time. She signed up for a 2 week intro to ballet/tap/jazz. Getting dressed for this class was a challenge, no one likes to wear tights in 90 degree heat. Ava NEVER likes to wear tights, she can't stand the seams, the tightness, the whole feeling of them. Once she was dressed and at dance class, she loved it. She's going to sign up for the second session in August.
Between the NAC pool and slide, and the Newtown Swim Club she is having a blast swimming and sliding, diving, and playing with her friends at the pool. The best part is that Cameron now loves the pool too. Up until last weekend we was refusing to wear his swimsuit TO the pool. He only wanted to wear his clothes and play mini golf. It was such a pain. We would go to the pool, he would play 3 rounds of mini golf, sweat like crazy, and then whine and complain until we left. I went away for a girls weekend at the beach, Ed took him to the pool, and now he 'swims'. Go figure! He doesn't actually swim, but he walks in the water up to his chest, or higher, he has pinched his nose shut and put his face in a few times, and he blows bubbles. A HUGE improvement! I'm so happy about this! His swim lessons start tomorrow morning and I'm crossing my fingers his new 'love' for the water continues. Our day is a lot easier when both kids can agree on an activity...like going to the pool.
My wonderful 36 hours of girls weekend in Avalon with life long friend and birthday girl, Sue!
Ava also continues to lose more teeth! Both front teeth are finally gone. Fun times :)
...and Ava's dive that she finally is able to do after many, many attempts. Now we need to sign her up for swim team! Great job girl!
